Matsumoto Itsuki is Kirisaki Daiichi's second-year center, jersey 12. He is the one who starts at the five. Seto sleeps through that stretch in a mask; Matsumoto is already on the floor.
When Hanamiya wants the passing lanes gone, Seto is subbed in and Matsumoto comes off. He is not the Spider Web. He is the center Kirisaki uses until the Spider Web is ready. See also Seto Kentarō.
NAME ETYMOLOGY
Matsumoto (松本): The kanji 松 (Matsu) means "pine" and 本 (Moto) means "origin" or "root."
Kirisaki Naming Pattern: Following a hidden theme where Kirisaki's core roster members are named after hospitals in Japan, 松本病院 (Matsumoto Hospital) appears in more than one prefecture.
Itsuki (樹): The kanji 樹 means "tree." Not to be confused with Seihō coach Matsumoto Yukinori.
