UNIQUE SHOT FORM

USER: MORIYAMA YOSHITAKA

Moriyama's unique shot form
VISUAL DEMONSTRATION: THE RELEASE YOU CANNOT TIME

TECHNIQUE OVERVIEW

Moriyama Yoshitaka's jumper does not look like a textbook release. The gather, the wrist, and the moment the ball leaves are all slightly wrong — which is why Hyūga cannot sit on it. Kaijō's catch-and-shoot threat when Kise is on the bench is this form, not a Miracle.

CORE MECHANICS

  • Off-Rhythm Release: The ball leaves later or earlier than the jump suggests. A standard closeout is already late.
  • Catch-and-Fire: He does not need a gather dribble. Offensive rebounds and skip passes become threes.
  • Spacing: Defenders who help on Kise or Kasamatsu leave him open. That is the point of the form — it only has to be open once.

LIMITATIONS & RISKS

  • Once Contested Clean: Hyūga eventually times it. A hand in the face still works if the closeout is honest.
  • Not a Creator: If the pass does not arrive, he is not isolating like Kise. The form needs a feed.
  • Hot-and-Cold: Unique is not the same as Midorima's 100%. Misses happen. Kaijō still lives with them.
