VISUAL DEMONSTRATION: 180° SPIN & TWO-HANDED POWER SLAM
TECHNIQUE OVERVIEW
Thor's Hammer is Murasakibara Atsushi's most destructive offensive technique. Combining his colossal 6'10" frame, immense strength, and surprising agility, Murasakibara leaps into the air, spins 180 degrees, and slams the ball down with both hands—generating enough physical force to blow away multiple defenders attempt to contest it.
CORE MECHANICS
- Mid-Air 180° Spin: Murasakibara receives the ball under or near the basket, jumping and rotating his entire body mid-air to build torque.
- Overwhelming Kinetic Power: The downward force is so extreme that it can easily overpower multiple post defenders, knocking them to the hardwood floor.
- Backboard Shattering Force: Possesses enough raw mechanical force to tear down entire basketball stanchions and shatter goal setups.
LIMITATIONS & COUNTERS
- Timing & Height Requirements: Requires Murasakibara to establish position near the key to maximize momentum and elevation.
- Phantasmagoric Block: Kagami Taiga was able to block Thor's Hammer after entering the Zone, utilizing maximum jumping height and perfect jump timing.
KEY MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- Seirin vs. Yōsen (Winter Cup Quarters): Murasakibara debuts Thor's Hammer when switching to offense, effortlessly throwing down three Seirin defenders (Kagami, Kiyoshi, and Hyūga) at once.
- Goal Structure Collapse: Demonstrates its destructive power by pulling down the entire backboard structure during his offensive rampage.
