SPIDER'S WEB

USER: HANAMIYA MAKOTO

Hanamiya's Spider's Web
VISUAL DEMONSTRATION: EVERY LANE IS A STEAL

TECHNIQUE OVERVIEW

The Spider's Web is Hanamiya Makoto's steal system. He maps an opponent's passing patterns, then cuts them. With Seto Kentarō occupying the remaining lanes, every outlet becomes a predictable steal and a fast-break layup. Kuroko is the first player to break the net — by stopping the pattern entirely.

CORE MECHANICS

  • Pattern Read: Hanamiya watches the first dozen possessions and writes the offense down. After that he is already standing in the passing lane.
  • Seto's Screen: The only Kirisaki regular who can keep up with the IQ. He does not score. He deletes options.
  • IQ 160+: Same junior-high classrooms as Imayoshi. The Web is a test score applied to basketball.

LIMITATIONS & RISKS

  • Uncalled Passes: Kuroko redirects balls his teammates never asked for. A pattern that does not exist cannot be stolen.
  • Without Seto: Hanamiya still steals a lot. He does not steal everything. The second-half substitution is the full Web.
  • It Is Still a Foul Game: If the Web fails he goes back to elbows. The system is the polite half of Kirisaki.
