HAWK EYE

USER: TAKAO KAZUNARI

Takao using Hawk Eye
VISUAL DEMONSTRATION: 360° COURT VISION

TECHNIQUE OVERVIEW

Hawk Eye is Takao Kazunari's 360-degree court vision. He tracks every player at once — including the one nobody else can see. It is the first reliable counter to Kuroko's Misdirection, and it is the reason Midorima's full-court threes leave Takao's hands as much as Midorima's.

CORE MECHANICS

  • Full Radius: Takao does not need to turn his head to know where a cutter is. The floor is one picture.
  • Misdirection Break: Kuroko's vanishing depends on diverted gaze. Hawk Eye never gives him the glance to steal.
  • Sky Direct Feed: Combined with Midorima, the Eye times the mid-air catch so the high-arc three never needs a gather.

LIMITATIONS & RISKS

  • Vanishing Drive: Seeing Kuroko is not the same as staying in front of a drive that pulls the eyes to Kagami. The Drive still walks through him on debut.
  • One Pair: The Eye is most dangerous feeding Midorima. If Midorima is sealed, Takao is a very good point guard, not an unbeatable one.
  • Physical Contest: Vision does not box out Kiyoshi or stay in front of Kagami in a straight line.
