TECHNIQUE OVERVIEW
Eagle Eye is Izuki Shun's court vision. He reads passing lanes, help rotations, and the next two options on a possession the way a bird of prey tracks movement on the ground. It is why Seirin's offense still functions when Kuroko is off the floor — and why Izuki is the one who has to call the trap on Hayama.
CORE MECHANICS
- Lane Mapping: Izuki sees the whole half-court at once — open cutters, collapsing help, and the pass that has not been thrown yet.
- Predictive Passing: He throws to where a teammate will be, not where they are standing. Kiyoshi's rolls and Hyūga's relocations live on that lead.
- Defensive Calls: The same view lets him set traps. Eagle Spear is the steal that comes after the read.
LIMITATIONS & RISKS
- Speed Gap: Seeing Kasamatsu's drive is not the same as staying in front of it. Vision without feet still gets beat.
- Patterned Reads: Hanamiya's Spider's Web feeds on predictable outlets. Once Izuki's first option is mapped, the steal is automatic.
- No Scoring Threat: Defenders sag off him. The Eye opens the floor for everyone else, not for his own jumper.
