OVERVIEW

Fukui Kensuke is Yōsen's third-year point guard and the shortest starter on a team built out of 200 cm bodies. He is 176 cm, with calm face, and the job of feeding the Aegis and sitting Okamura down when the captain starts shouting.

He is the perimeter half of Yōsen with Himuro: he brings the ball up, hits the layup when the wall kicks it out, and keeps a 10/10 defense system from turning into a timeout. He likes to play pranks on his teammate Liu Wei, who is an exchange student from China.

NAME ETYMOLOGY

Fukui (福井): The kanji 福 (Fuku) means "fortune" and 井 (I) means "well."

Yōsen Naming Pattern: Following a hidden theme where Yōsen's roster members share names with ramen chefs and restaurants in Japan — a food theme that fits Murasakibara's appetite — Gekimori Ramen Gorilla (激盛ラーメンゴリラ屋, "Extreme Servings Ramen Gorilla") is a shop in Fukui.

Kensuke (健介): The kanji 健 (Ken) means "healthy" and 介 (Suke) means "to help."
