OVERVIEW

Wakamatsu Kōsuke is Tōō's second-year center. Spiky blond hair, 193 cm, 10/10 physical and 10/10 stamina: crowds call him the fastest center they have ever seen. Kiyoshi compares the body to Kagami's.

He is loud, short-tempered, and allergic to Aomine skipping practice. Imayoshi and Susa point out that he and Hayakawa are the same person in different jerseys. After the third years retire, Imayoshi makes him captain anyway.

NAME ETYMOLOGY

Wakamatsu (若松): The kanji 若 (Waka) means "young" and 松 (Matsu) means "pine."

Tōō Naming Pattern: Following a hidden theme where Tōō's core roster members are named after shrines and temples in Japan, 若松神社 (Wakamatsu Jinja) is a shrine in Osaka.

Kōsuke (孝輔): The kanji 孝 (Kō) means "filial piety" and 輔 (Suke) means "help."
