OVERVIEW
Susa Yoshinori is Tōō's third-year small forward and vice-captain. 190 cm, a large nose, dark spiked hair, and almost no personality gimmick: he is the even-keeled one on a team that runs on volume and ego.
He was Tōō's power forward until Aomine arrived, at which point he switched to small forward. He is an all-rounder on par with the aces of average teams—he guarded Kagami for a half in the Interhigh and finished Imayoshi's high lobs over Kuroko.
NAME ETYMOLOGY
Susa (諏佐): The kanji 諏 (Su) means "to consult" and 佐 (Sa) means "to help."
Tōō Naming Pattern: Following a hidden theme where Tōō's core roster members are named after shrines and temples in Japan, 須佐神社 (Susa Jinja) is a shrine in Wakayama. His kanji differ from the shrine's, but the reading is the same.
Yoshinori (佳典): The kanji 佳 (Yoshi) means "good" or "beautiful," and 典 (Nori) means "rule" or "ceremony."
