OVERVIEW
Momoi Satsuki is Tōō Academy's manager and the former manager of Teikō's Generation of Miracles. Characterised by her long pink hair, a 10/10 analysis mark, she has a habit of introducing herself as Kuroko's girlfriend—Kuroko always denies it.
She maps every opponent except Kuroko, lectures Aomine like a mother, and followed him to Tōō so he would not drift. Harasawa trusts her scouting enough to run the game off her knowledge.
NAME ETYMOLOGY
Momoi (桃井): The kanji 桃 (Momo) means "peach" and 井 (I) means "well"—a pink name for the pink-haired manager.
Teikō Naming Pattern: Following a hidden theme where Teikō's core names are colors, Momoi's 桃 is "peach."
Satsuki (さつき): Written in hiragana; Satsuki is the traditional name for the fifth month of the lunar calendar—May, her birth month.
TRIVIA & DETAILS
OFFICIAL KUROFES INTERVIEW
Source: KuroFes Official Fanbook | Interviewer: Kuroko Tetsuya
Q1: [Appearing suddenly out of nowhere] Momoi-san, congratulations on taking second place [in the coaches and managers poll]. How do you feel right now?
Riko: Eek... Tetsu-kun! You're interviewing me?! Wow, Tetsu-kun is going to interview me! ♡ I'm super, super happy about getting 2nd place, of course!
Q2: What do you think is your greatest strength?
Momoi: Hmm, what is it..? I guess I'm pretty good at things like tidying up my room, organising information, and putting things in order... I guess.
Q3: So, is there anything you would like to improve upon in the future?
Momoi: Well, you probably know this too, but... I'm a little bad at cooking...
Q4: Who do you want to lose to the least?
Momoi: Since I'm not a player, I end up thinking about it in terms of the whole team, but... I guess Seirin. And Riko-san is also someone I'm interested in, since she's a girl in a position pretty close to mine.
Q5: Has your relationship with Aomine-kun changed after the Seirin match?
Momoi: Our relationship... well, we're just childhood friends to begin with, so nothing's really changed, you know? But Dai-chan started practicing more, so I guess I've started looking forward to going to club practice too.
Q6: If you have any stories about Aomine-kun that nobody else knows about, please tell us.
Momoi: Hehehe... Dai-chan was actually a crybaby, believe it or not! When he was little, he'd cry every time he lost at basketball. He even cried the first time he rode a roller coaster, and he cried when he wet the bed... So now when I look at him acting so high-and-mighty, I just think, 'pfft.'
Q7: Riko was envious of Momoi's figure. If you have any secret to maintaining it, please tell us.
Momoi: Eh? I don't do anything! If we're talking about figures, Riko-san is actually slimmer than me, and I'm the one who's envious of her.
Q8: How did you master the special skill of tying a cherry-stem into a knot with your tongue?
Momoi: I wouldn't really say I 'mastered' it... I saw it on TV or something, and since I like eating cherries, I kept trying it over and over until I eventually managed to do it.
Q9: Please tell us your goals for the future.
Momoi: My goal is to get revenge for that first-round loss at the Winter Cup! I'm gathering data on everyone's schools - Seirin and Ki-chan's included - so you'd better be ready, Tetsu-kun! ♡
Q10: Please give a message to your fans.
Momoi: Thank you so much for all your support! Riko-san may have said something similar, but I'm putting just as much passion into basketball as the players are. So please continue to support me from now on!
