Ōtsubo Taisuke is Shūtoku High's third-year center and captain. 198 cm, 98 kg, and the largest starter on a Three Kings roster: he has been carrying the inside since he joined.

He is the calm adult between Miyaji's fruit threats and Midorima's lucky-item lectures. On the floor he owns the post—floaters, dunks, box-outs—and still knits in his spare time. After the Winter Cup he retired with the other third years.

NAME ETYMOLOGY

Ōtsubo (大坪): The kanji 大 (Ō) means "large" and 坪 (Tsubo) is a traditional unit of area—a big name for a 198 cm captain.

Shūtoku Naming Pattern: Following a hidden theme where Shūtoku's core roster members are named after mountains in Japan, 大坪山 (Mt. Ōtsubo) is in Chiba.

Taisuke (泰介): The kanji 泰 (Tai) means "peaceful" and 介 (Suke) means "to mediate" or "to help."
