Papa Mbaye Siki is Shinkyō High's starting center and an exchange student from Senegal. At 200 cm and 87 kg he is the first true giant Seirin runs into — taller than Kagami, proud of it, and convinced that height is the whole sport.
He dunks on the freshmen until Kuroko's alley-oop and misdirection make the paint feel smaller. After the loss he still has trouble saying Kuroko's name without swallowing it, but he does recognize the team that beat him.
NAME ETYMOLOGY
Papa Mbaye Siki: A Senegalese name. Teammates and opponents shorten it to Papa because the full name is a mouthful on a Japanese high-school bench. Kuroko then gives him the nickname 'daddy', which somehow sticks.
