OVERVIEW
Tetsuya #2 (テツヤ二号, Tetsuya Nigō) is Kuroko's dog and Seirin's unofficial mascot. Kuroko found him in a park near school and brought him to practice in a cardboard box. The rest of the team immediately noticed the eyes.
Koganei names him Tetsuya #2 because those eyes are the same oval blue as Kuroko's. He barks when the team scores, rolls a basketball with a natural dribbling instinct, wears a custom Seirin #16 jersey, and once saved Kagami from a gash in his sneaker by... using the sneaker as a toilet. Kagami eventually accepted him anyway.
NAME ETYMOLOGY
Tetsuya #2 (テツヤ二号): Literally "Tetsuya Number Two." Koganei coins it the moment the team sees the matching eyes. They just call him #2 for short.

According to the Q&A section of the manga, Tetsuya number 2 is a stray, so his age is unknown, but he is estimated to be around 1 years old.
