OVERVIEW

Higuchi Shōta is Rakuzan High's team manager. He is the staffer on the national-champion bench who keeps the water, the stats, and the Uncrowned Kings' minutes in order while Akashi runs the floor.

After high school, he continues to play basketball and represents Rakuzan on team Strky in the Last Game.

NAME ETYMOLOGY

Higuchi (樋口): The kanji 樋 (Hi) means "gutter" or "water pipe," and 口 (Guchi) means "mouth" or "opening."

Shōta (翔太): The kanji 翔 (Shō) means "to soar" and 太 (Ta) means "great."
