Sasaki Shōta is one of the 'Genius Twins', Kamatanishi's small forward. He and Sōta play as a mirrored pair — same face, adjacent numbers, one scouting report. They are both masters of Aikido, and excel at drawing fouls.
NAME ETYMOLOGY
Sasaki (佐々木): Same surname as his twin. The doubled 佐 is a traditional spelling.
Shōta (翔太): The kanji 翔 (Shō) means "to soar" and 太 (Ta) means "great."
