OVERVIEW

Kasamatsu Yukio is Kaijō High's third-year point guard and captain. Short spiked hair, steel eyes, and a nationally credited handle make him the adult in the room next to a Generation of Miracles ace.

He is stern, fast, and allergic to half-effort. Coach Takeuchi made him captain after a mistake instead of letting him quit; Kasamatsu repaid that by dragging Kise into a real team and kicking him whenever the first-year forgot his manners.

NAME ETYMOLOGY

Kasamatsu (笠松): The kanji 笠 (Kasa) means "bamboo hat" and 松 (Matsu) means "pine." A pine is an evergreen—steady, not flashy—which fits a captain who values progress over spectacle.

Kaijō Naming Pattern: Following a hidden theme where Kaijō's core roster members are named after rivers in Japan, 笠松川 (Kasamatsu River) is in Gifu.

Yukio (幸男): The kanji 幸 (Yuki) means "happiness" or "good fortune," and 男 (O) means "man."
