OVERVIEW

Hayakawa Mitsuhiro is Kaijō's second-year power forward. Short spiked hair, bushy eyebrows, a huge mouth, and a 10/10 stamina bar make him the loudest body on the floor—and the hardest one to keep off the rebounds.

He is an explosive offensive rebounder: he boxes out, jumps late, and still reaches the ball first. Kasamatsu punches him to calm him down, opponents compare the volume to Wakamatsu.

NAME ETYMOLOGY

Hayakawa (早川): The kanji 早 (Haya) means "fast" or "early" and 川 (Kawa) means "river." A fast river never stops—neither does he on the rebounding front.

Kaijō Naming Pattern: Following a hidden theme where Kaijō's core roster members are named after rivers in Japan, 早川 (Hayakawa / Haya River) is in Yamanashi. 川 is read kawa or gawa, so Haya + river is Hayakawa.

Mitsuhiro (充洋): The kanji 充 (Mitsu) means "to fill" and 洋 (Hiro) means "ocean."
